The Federation’s June Conference & Annual General Meeting

Reconciliation in Action

This year’s Reconciliation in Action conference will include time for learning, reflection, and shared dialogue.

We will once again be hosting the KAIROS Blanket Exercise—an experiential way to think about the ongoing impacts of colonization and to consider each person’s responsibility in moving forward in reconciliation.

The Stories from the Community sessions will invite leaders, activists, and community members to share stories about work that is inspiring, mobilizing, or supporting the communities they serve. Participants will be empowered to “harvest” knowledge and ideas from the different stories that relate to their own journey towards reconciliation as well as opportunities to take back to their organizations.

In addition to these learning opportunities, you can also look forward to learning more about local Indigenous community cultural teachings throughout the day. On Thursday evening, you can enjoy socializing and networking at the annual reception hosted by our friends at Schmunk Gatt Smith and Associates.

Our intention is to create a space to be grounded in understanding as we think about different paths toward reconciliation. We hope you will join us.
