Caring for Communities 2026
Registration is now open for Caring for Communities 2026, a full-day conference recognizing and celebrating frontline workers in B.C.'s community social services sector.
Join colleagues from across the province on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre for a day of connection, learning and collective care. Together, we will explore practical strategies for creating psychologically supportive workplaces where emotional well-being is promoted, and mental harm is actively prevented.
The conference features inspiring keynote speakers Dacia Douhaibi, Jennifer Irwin and Len Pierre, alongside practical sessions from sector leaders and partners on psychological health and safety, Indigenous Cultural Safety, neuro-affirming practice, de-escalation, co-regulation, resilience and more.
Whether you are a frontline worker or a member of a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, Caring for Communities offers opportunities to strengthen workplace well-being, exchange promising practices, build connections across the sector and take away practical tools you can use every day.
Early bird registration is $75 until Sept. 27. Regular registration is $100 and includes breakfast, lunch, keynote presentations, concurrent sessions, networking opportunities and access to exhibitors.
Caring for Communities 2026 is presented by the Community Social Services Health and Safety Association of BC in partnership with WorkSafeBC and The Federation of Community Social Services of BC.
