Our Members
Our members are committed to delivering high-quality services to children, youth, adults, and families within their communities. They work in hundreds of BC communities and are incredibly diverse in terms of governance, size (with budgets from $25,000 to $25 million), and scope (from single service to multi-service agencies).
Our members offer 685 programs in 160 communities throughout BC both on and off reserve. Our members employ more than 6,000 British Columbians and represent almost $450 million of community investment in the social services sector.
Our members support communities through a wide spectrum of services such as support for children and youth, those with disabilities, and seniors. Our members also provide employment programs, early childhood education, homeless outreach, family programs, and more.
Most of our members deliver direct services and are Full Members of The Federation. They vote at meetings and help guide The Federation’s direction. Others support children, youth, adults, and families through indirect action, such as education, research, and the provincial coordination of services. These agencies are Associate Members.
Honorary Membership is awarded to people or teams that have made an outstanding contribution to our field and to children, youth, adults, and families, either through long-standing service or through a significant event or process. Honorary Members include our Award for Excellence recipients.
