Training & Learning Opportunities

One thing we hear a lot from members is the need for local training opportunities—especially from those members that aren’t based in the south-west corner of the province. This is something we have been wanting to provide for a while and I am very excited to announce that the time has come.

Workshops focused on the following three topics will take place over the next two years in communities across the province. We know our member organizations are very diverse and have diverse training needs. That’s why these topics were determined by feedback from Federation members themselves. And most importantly, each one supports The Federation’s goal of building a stronger and more sustainable community social services sector.

These training and learning opportunities will take place in 12 communities across the province and will bring people together across agencies and across the sector (they are open to non-members as well). They will also enable Federation members to take part in unique learning opportunities at a low cost.

You can learn more, view dates and locations, and register to participate on The Federation website.

We hope that these events will not only be good learning opportunities but also good opportunities for your teams, staff, and partners to understand a little bit more about what it means to be a member of this Federation.

If you have other ideas or suggestions about these or future learning opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
